Two New Services for the Financial Aid Office from ProEducation Solutions!
New Service #1: ISIR Data Conflict Identification
ProEd is pleased to make our ProVerifier+ Automated Verification Software platform available to any institution that wishes to identify which 2024-25 ISIRs have data conflicts, what those data conflicts are, and ways to resolve them. USDE had planned to randomly select ISIRs for verification. However, the verification selection rate is so low the FPS is not picking up on many data conflicts financial aid offices are required to resolve. It is very difficult to identify these cases unless each ISIR is reviewed. We have a solution!
Institutions may take advantage of this service as a one-time event or may continue this service whenever they receive a new batch of ISIR transactions. All schools need to do is batch upload all ISIRs in the same format they receive them from their SAIG mailbox via our secure portal and ProVerifier+ will do the rest! Whether or not an ISIR has been selected for verification, ProVerifier will analyze all ISIRs provided by the school and run them through ProVerifier’s 500+ SMART Rules.
Schools that elect to use this feature will receive a daily report via SFTP outlining which students in the database have conflicts. From there, the school can choose to resolve these conflicts in-house or activate the student for further processing in ProVerifier+. The initial report will review all ISIRs in the database, then subsequent reports will only look at ISIRs that are loaded daily.
ProVerifier also resolves C-Codes, Rejects, and verifies Provisionally Independent students.
Service #2: Manual ISIR Corrections
Electronic Announcement (GENERAL-24-55) dated May 10, 2024 regarding the “2024-25 FAFSA Implementing School-Initiated Corrections,” says school initiated corrections can ONLY be made “via the FAFSA Partner Portal (FPP) by the end of June. The FPP will allow institutions to submit corrections electronically by entering the data manually in the FAFSA Partner Portal. Batch institutional corrections via the Electronic Data Exchange (EDE) will be available in the weeks following FPP corrections.” Financial Aid Offices are very busy during the peak summer months of June, July and August. We are offering a new service to manually input corrections to the FPP to help schools submit corrections during this busy time. This process will not be available until USDE permits institutional corrections in late June and will end once the batch institutional correction process becomes available. At this time, there is no known date for when batch institutional corrections will be functional.
